A nice day paddling on Lake Meech with an old friend helps set the mood for France

Now that my French visa is safely in my bags, I relaxed Sunday with a short trip to Meech Lake in Gatineau Park with my friend Paul Sutcliffe, who I’ve known since Grade 4. What an idyllic setting and a great way to get in the travelling mindset. Europe has many equally beautiful vistas awaiting and I can’t wait to explore them with you.

I hope this quick snapshot offsets yesterday’s lengthy lament about the travails of getting my visa in time. 😎
